Oriental & Designer Area Rug CleaningOriental & Designer rugs have such beauty, don't let them get soiled. I love it when people tell me that their oriental rugs need to be dry cleaned, because they are afraid of shrinkage. Well the truth of the matter is that oriental rugs get a bath. They get soaked to complete saturation. The process is so different from wall to wall carpet cleaning that these rugs need to be removed from the premises and brought to our special facility. Here the rugs are laid on a sunken section of a concrete floor. We first vacuum to remove loose and dry soil. We then completely saturate the rug, sprinkle it with a special rug detergent and scrub with a brush. We then squeeze out all of the water and hang to dry. This is why they don't shrink. There is too much weight and shrinkage is very controlled. After the rug is dry we lower the rug and detail the fringe. While hanging, the fringe gets all the runoff water leaving it a very undesirable brown color. After the detailing it looks like new again. The rugs are then rolled and delivered. Each and every time our customers remark “WOW.” Even though your rug looks clean, normal settling of dust is abrasive and will shorten the life of your rug. It's recommended that you have your rugs cleaned once every 12 -18 months. We clean area rugs in your home or we can remove them, clean them, and return them usually within 10 days. Cleaning oriental / area rugs in your home in the most cost effective manner, but it has one very large issue. In simplest terms, "Wet Wool Stinks" The odor from the wool is natural and does go away once dry. Most wool/oriental rugs are dry in a few hours. I prefer to pick up clean and return your valuable specialty rugs. Once at our cleaning plant, we can clean both sides and can either dry clean or steam extract the soil and stains. We have found that "Host" dry cleaning offers exception safety while offering an exceptional cleaning result. |
